When I was early teens I practiced Aikido (poorly). In the classes, a technique was usually demonstrated three times. Often without much verbal instruction.
The first time to learn the feet. The second to learn the hands. And the third to see the whole movement. We’d then pair up and practice on our own. It taught us to quickly understand another person’s movement. A valuable skill for martial arts. This is a skill that won’t be learnt if you always follow someone else.
Watch intently three times and then try it on your own.
