  • The Wushu Centre opens in Quebec City!

Andrea and Yannick finally reunite. The Quebec Wushu Institute and the Wushu Centre open their doors in Quebec City.
Yannick Benoit has practiced martial arts since the age of 7, with a focus on Chinese martial arts and wushu in particular. At the age of 20, he was admitted to the Beijing University of Sport where he studied for three years. On his return to Quebec in 1999 he founded the Quebec Wushu Institute where he teaches modern Wushu.
Andrea Falk has practiced Chinese martial arts since 1972. She studied at the Beijing University of Sport and received her diploma in Wushu in 1983. She founded the Wushu Centre in Montreal in 1984. Since then she has taught and translated books on traditional Chinese martial arts. She teaches traditional styles of Bagua, Xingyi and Taiji Changquan.
Gilbert Ethier has practiced Chen style Taijiquan exclusively since 1987. He began with the “Shanghai” style of Andrea Falk and since 2003 has studied the style of Chen Zhenglei. He teaches Chen style Taijiquan (Tai Chi).
